A copy is a synth model of a human brain, captured via an optogenetic neural lace. Unlike a Ghost it does not account for the quantum phenomena in a brain, which most experts now agree probably do not significantly influence brain function. This allows them to run on cheap commodity hardware and to be easily modified to better monetise them through inserting ads and freemium access. The most popular uses are for celebrity replicas (often run as an Instance), companionship (often from deceased family members), and cognitive archiving (mostly for general memory recall since current technology only provides a coarse approximation of the original's cognitive state).
